Ryan and Rachel Update
|
From missionaries in Brazil we prayed for yesterday:
Things went today as only the Lord could direct. We shouldnt have been surprised with everyone praying! God paved the way-it actually took longer for us to park (3 block away) than the time spent with the judge! After waiting our turn for about 45 min., we went in to the office where the hearing was held and sat around a conf. table, our lawyer and Rachel on one side and their lawyer and rep on the other. They didn't let Ryan in. The lawyers chatted a little and positions were stated, mainly that we thought the process was already taken care of 4 years ago, when the surgery was approved and took place. Apparently it is so unusual that people don't seek 'damages' i.e. money, that they assumed we were there to argue for more. The Judge came in and asked what was needed to settle, upon which our lawyer stated that from our perspective it was already settled since we only sought approval for the surgery and that was done. They discussed a few penal codes, the judge retired to her inner office and the admin. assistant printed off all 6 forms for us to sign. Then we were done. Rachel didn't even have to give a deposition or answer lawyers' questions, or need to remember the proper way to address the judge in Portuguese! Now it is officially settled and archived. |

Praise the Lord!

A friend of Holly's has a four year old cousin who suddenly was paralyzed and could not walk. The doctors only had very bad news for the family. The family asked for prayer and the next morning this girl was walking again! The doctors say it is a miracle, and the family is credits the prayers. We are asking that you keep this girl's health in your prayers, and that her family will see God's miraculous hand in her life. |

Pray for Shelby Beck. She is having blood pressure issues. She is also to have an ultra sound on her liver today for high belirubin count. Please pray for her and pray for the doctors that God open the their eyes and grant them wisdom to know the problem and treat it properly. Pray for complete healing from God. |

Stacy's friend Bonnie Mark's six month old son, Nathanial was flown to Sacred Heart hospital and diagnosed with spinal meningitis. Please pray for baby Nathanial and the family. Damage is not yet known. |

Larry Wilson
|
Carolin Coad is asking for prayer for friend Katrina Byrum's father, Larry Wilson. He was submitted to the hospital earlier this week with symptoms of a stroke, but found out that an infection from a tooth has gone into the brain. The infection has caused him not to be able to talk nor feed himself. This has become very serious. Please pray for Larry's complete healing, that God's divine Hand would be upon him. Larry and his wife are believers. |

Britani is having surgery around 10:00 or 10:30 this morning to take out the nerve stimulator- (just the battery part not the wire), that was put in her abdomen for headaches. She is nearly seven months pregnant, so please pray for the health and safety of both mama and baby. |

Aaron Kin

Thank you all for praying for Joanie's husband, Aaron Kin. He is home now having suffered a severe reaction between two drugs - cummidin and sulfa drugs - which caused his bone marrow to quit working and no longer produce blood cells. They will be monitoring his blood for the next to weeks. We are praying for a full recovery.

Clint Davis, Rita's husband, had a stroke. His son, Greg is here from Alaska to help Rita. Clint is still at Bonner Hospital and they are starting his rehabilitation. He has a long way to go. He can't move one side of his body. Please pray for his recovery. We don't know if there is any permanent damage. |

Pray for Moses Wohali, a co-worker of Levi Bush. His children have come to SCC VBS's in the past. Moses is experiencing lots of pain in his back, hips and legs. He is concerned and is praying that God heal him. Let's pray with him and for him. |

Dan Staglund, who Levi Bush has previously worked for just found out that his wife Starla has cancer. She is about 54 years old. They are very, very concerned. Levi understands that she is not doing well. Please pray for Starla! Pray that God heal her completely. |

John started chemo today and they told us he would loose his hair again. He is probably going to have to deal with nausea again and this one causes water retention and swelling and a bunch of other fun stuff. Please pray that he doesn't get to sick. Once again we have to be very careful not to be around anyone with a cold or other illness because in just a few days he will not have much of an immune system and in a week or two he will have no immune system. |
